Welcome to my WordPress.org Playground
This website will soon be used to find homes for my locally rescued kitties.
I am currently working on the Cat Adoption page where I’ll be posting their photos along with detailed stories, their characteristics, and habits. All of them have been well loved and trained to become good little housemates in their future forever homes.
I live in a neighborhood that has many stray cats. My yard is perfect for feral cats, although I don’t think any domestic animal should live outside on their own. I do the best I can to make my yard a good place for feral cats to live. They get cat food and fresh filtered water twice a day and when I can I do TNR (trap-neuter-release).
Sometimes I’ll just bring in feral females to get them out of circulation and help them restore health. I try to tame them but also respect those who want nothing to do with me. They live well in large dog kennels. I don’t like to keep any animal in a cage and if they let me, I take them on “field trips” (garage or other area to run). I try to keep bonded family members together because I’ve seen how much they hurt when separated.
The cats that I’m putting up for adoption were mostly brought indoors as kittens who were in trouble. Most have been hand fed and treated for things like skin problems and eye infections, so they are very sweet and loving (once they adjust to their new home–they might miss other cats).
I had hoped to start a small local non-profit for these little guys but my health has other plans. I’d love to keep all of them forever but it’s not fair to them knowing that they will outlive me. So, I need to do my best to find them homes.
I am asking for adoption fees for two reasons. I need to know that their new humans value them, and also because I need funds to continue helping the others in my care for as long as I can.
